UPPCL Line Technician Selection Procedure
Selection will be by conducting computer based test (CBT). Candidates will also have to qualify in skill test. Skill test will have some physical tasks to examine the physical efficiency of candidate. Skill test will include the climbing on pole, making joints of wires and connections etc. Candidates who will qualify the skill test will be called for verification of documents. Final selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in computer based written test (CBT). Preference will be given to those having apprenticeship certificate.
UPPCL Line Technician Exam Pattern
Written examination will have two parts consist of one paper only. Minimum passing score to qualify in Part-I is 20 marks. Marks obtained in Part-I will not included while preparing final merit list for selection to the post. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Part-II only. Exam will have multiple choice objective type questions. Duration of CBT exam will be 3 hours. Negative marking of ¼ mark against each wrong attempted question is also provisioned. The scheme and pattern of written competitive examination for the post of Technician (Line) is given below in table.

UPPCL Line Technician Syllabus 2019
Syllabus of written examination for the posts of Technician (Lineman) in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd will be retrieved from the curriculum of NCVT/SCVT trade study. Questions will be asked to examine the technical knowledge of concern domain. Questions will also be asked from the basic knowledge of Current Affairs, Geography, Culture and History of India, Polity and Constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental issues concerning India and the World, Sports, General scientific and technological developments. Standard of examination will be equivalent to the matriculation education standard.
