Eligibility Standards of UPSC CAPF (AC) Exam

|A.||Qualification||Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University in any discipline. Only the Indian citizen may apply.|
|B.||Experience||No experience is mandatory. However, Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification.|
|C.||Age Bar||minimum 20 years to maximum 25 years as on 01.08.2019, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.1999. Upper age limit is relaxable according to the rules of central govt of India.|

UPSC CAPF AC 2019 Selection Procedure
Following are the successive stages of recruitment process. Candidates must have to qualify all these steps one-by-one. Only the successful candidate of one stage, shall be admitted to appear in further stage(s) of selection.

UPSC CAPF (AC) Exam Pattern
The written examination will consist of Two papers containing Multiple choice objective type questions. Paper-I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-II will be done
only of those candidates who qualify in Paper-I. Pattern and scheme of both papers is given below.
- Written Test (Paper-I)
Paper-I will based on the test of General Ability and Intelligence. This will have questions of objective (multiple answers) type with a total weightage of 250 Marks. Time duration of Paper-I will be maximum 02 hours. Paper will be set bilingual, i.e. in English as well as Hindi.

- Written Test (Paper-II)
Paper-II will based on study of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. This will have a total weightage of 200 Marks. In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi language, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be English only. Time duration of Paper-I will be maximum 03 hours.

UPSC CAPF (AC) 2019 Syllabus
The written examination of CAPF (AC) will comprise of two papers. The syllabus of both question papers is given below.
- Written Exam (Paper-I) Syllabus
|1.||Mental Ability||Questions will be designed to test logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude of candidate including numerical ability, and data interpretation.|
|2.||General Science||Topics will be covered from general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and
appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation of an aware citizen. New areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science will also be included.
|3.||Current Affairs||The section will be set to check the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance. Questions will be set from the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations.|
|4.||Indian Polity & Economy||This shall aim to assess knowledge of candidates regarding the Country’s political system, Constitution of India, social systems and public administration. Questions will also be asked from economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.|
|5.||History of India||This will broadly cover the subjects of India’s social, economic and political aspects. Areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement of India shall also be included.|
|6.||Geography Knowledge||This shall cover the knowledge of physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.|
- Written Exam (Paper-II) Syllabus
Paper-II will based on study of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi language, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be English only.
|PART-A||Essay questions will be set in the Part-A which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English language totaling 80 Marks. The topics will covers modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.|
|PART-B||Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills will be tested through Part-B. It is to be attempted in English language only (Marks 120). Topics will be Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.|
NOTE: Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers
marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Paper. Candidates should also ensure that in Paper-II they write the answers only in the medium allowed by the Commission for the different Components. There will be a provision of obtaining minimum qualifying marks separately in each papers. Paper-I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the Paper-I.
UPSC CAPF (AC) 2019 Physical Test Norms
Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests are mandatory to be qualified. Following are the details of physical test norms.

UPSC CAPF AC 2019 Interview
Candidates who are declared qualified in Physical Standards Test/ Physical Efficiency Test/ Medical Standards Test, will further be called to appear in Interview/Personality Test. Candidates who are declared medically unfit but allowed to appear before the “Review Medical Board” on their appeal by the Appellate Authority will be called for Interview/ Personality Tests provisionally. Candidates will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces. Interview/ Personality Test will carry a total of 150 Marks.
CAPF AC Admit Card 2019
Union Public Service Commission has issued the schedule of CAPF Assistant Commandants Exam 2019. The written test is set to be conducted on 18.08.2019. Downloading of UPSC CAPF Admit Card 2019 is expected to available before 10 to 15 days of examination. Candidates are advised to take print out of the hall ticket/admit card well in advance.
CAPF AC Result 2018 Cut-Off Marks
The written exam is scheduled to be conducted on 18.08.2019. Results and cut-off marks list may be announced after the two months of exam on official website of UPSC.
