- 20% Weightage for marks in Teacher Eligibility Test Paper-I
- 10% weightage for Employment Exchange Seniority of TET Paper-I
DSE Puducherry Primary School Teacher Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Pass Higher Secondary school or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate. Diploma in Teacher Education or certificate in Basic Teacher’s Training of duration of not less than 2-years (minimum academic qualification for admission to the Diploma in Teacher Education or Certificate in Basic Teacher’s Training). Should have obtained the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I of TNTET / KTET / APTET / CTET.
Language Preference: Candidate should have studied the particular regional language (Tamil or Malayalam) as one of the subjects up to secondary level or studied Diploma in Teacher Education / certificate in Basic Teacher’s Training in the relevant medium of regional language.
Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is min 18 whereas max 32 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
