BSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure consists of written test and practical test. 5x candidates are shortlisted for practical test on the basis of marks obtained in the written exam. Practical (test of stenography and computer) is qualify in nature. There are no marks for passing the practical test. BSSC Stenographer Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Intermediate examination i.e Class-12th pass in any subjects. Technical knowledge of Shorthand and Computer Typing. Knowledge of basic computer operations and word processing.
Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is min 18 whereas max 37 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
BSSC Stenographer Exam Pattern
The written examination consists of one paper only containing Multiple choice objective type questions. Questions come from General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, Reasoning and Arithmetic. Duration of exam is 2 hour and 15 minutes. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong attempted question. 4 marks to be given for every right answer.

BSSC Stenographer Shorthand Test
Shorthand speed test is to be conduct in Hindi to examine at least a speed of 80 words per minute for a duration of 4 minutes. Dictation to be given for 1 minute before starting the shorthand test. 20 minutes to be given for the typing of shorthand. Duration of 2 minutes will be given for error checking before starting the typing. There must not more than 10% errors to qualify the shorthand test.
BSSC Stenographer Computer Test
BSSC Stenographer Computer Test is a typing speed test in Hindi. It is to conduct at a speed of minimum 30 words per minute. Typing test is held on computer only. Candidates have to type at least 300 words within a duration of 10 minutes. Not more than 1.5% errors should be there to qualify the Typing test.
