BSF Head Constable Eligibility Criteria
Head Constable (Radio Operator / Radio Mechanic): Matriculation or equivalent pass with 2-years Industrial Training Institute certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or Electronics / COPA / Data Preparation & Computer Software / General Electronics / Data Entry Operator (OR) Pass in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with aggregate 60% marks.
Head Constable (Ministerial): Intermediate / 12th class pass in any subjects.
BSF Typing and Stenography Test
For ASI (Stenographer): Shorthand speed at 80 words per minute within 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in 50 minutes in English OR in 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
For Head Constable (Ministerial): Typing Test 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. Please note that 35 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi correspond to 10500 KDPH in English and 9000 KDPH in Hindi respectively with an average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer. Time allowed for typing test is 10 minutes.

BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure
These Head Constable vacancies are on temporary basis but likely to be permanent in Border Security Force.
