Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Madhyamik examination pass in any subject or its equivalent. Able to speak, read and write in Bengali language except to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is 18 to 27 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
