HPSC HCS Eligibility Norms

Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree i.e. Graduate in any subject from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Min 21 to max 27 years for the post of DSP. On the other hand age limit is 21-42 years for all other posts. Relexation in upper age limit is admissible up to 5 years in case of BC / Female / SC applicants.

Physical Standards: Please note that physical measurement test is mean for DSP posts only. Following are the norms of physical measurement.

• Height 170.18 cm for Male whereas 157.50 for Female.
• Chest 83.82 cms, with expansion of 3.81 cms (for Male only).
• Chest measurement is Not applicable to female candidates.

HPSC HCS Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure

At first of all, candidates have to appear in Preliminary examination which is to be conduct for the primary screening only. Only the candidates who qualify in preliminary exam may appear in Main (Written) Exam. Based on the HPSC HCS Preliminary Examination result, candidates equal to twelve (12) times the number of advertised posts + bracketed candidates, if any, in order of merit, will be admitted to the Main Examination. Finally, the merit list will come out on the basis of marks obtain by candidates in Main Written Test and Interview. Selection process has following three stages.

1. Preliminary exam [200 marks]
2. Main written exam [600 marks]
3. Interview / Viva-voce [75 marks]

HPSC HCS Preliminary Exam Pattern

Preliminary exam, for a total of 200 marks, has two papers consisting objective type MCQ questions. Each paper is of 100 marks. Every wrong answer leads to the negative marking penalty of 0.25 mark. HPSC HCS Main (Written) Exam Pattern
