SSC JE Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 3-Years Diploma in Engineering in the relevant stream i.e Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts.

Experience: 2-years working experience in concern discipline for the posts of Junior Engineer in BRO / DGQA Naval. Experience is not required for JE posts in other departments.

Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is min 18 whereas max 30 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

The SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2023 Selection Process consists of following successive stages.

1. Computer based written examination (Tier-I)

SSC Junior Engineer Exam Pattern

SSC JE Tier-I Exam Pattern:

This paper is objective type computer based examination. Duration of first paper is two hours. There are total 100 marks for first paper. This paper consist of three different sections. Following are details of all three sections.

1. Reasoning and General Intelligence – 50 marks – 50 questions.
2. General Awareness – 50 marks – 50 questions.
3. General Engineering – 100 marks – 100 questions
4. Total – 200 marks – 200 questions

This paper is descriptive type written examination. Similarly the duration of second paper is two hours. But there is a total of 300 marks in this paper.
