SSC CGL Recruitment 2019 – Application Status, Admit Card, Exam Pattern and Tips

Staff Selection Commission invites application from young and eligible candidates every year for the recruitment of Group B and Group C posts. There are four level of SSC CGL exam i.e. Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV. Recently SSC has released the exam dates for SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Examination. SSC in the official notice has declared the fresh dates of computer based SSC CGL Examination.

SSC CGL Application Status

Before the online exam SSC CGL 2019 will release the application status of the applicants. This will enable the candidates whether or not their application for SSC CGL is accepted or rejected. SSC CGL Admit Card will be released thereafter.

SSC CGL Admit Card

SSC will release the CGL admit card region wise. Once the SSC CGL Admit Card is released you can download it from the Official website of Staff Selection Commission by following simple steps given below-

  1. Go to the Official Website and Click on the concerned region.
  2. Enter Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth and download it.
  3. Once you download your admit card for SSC CGL do check all the details mentioned in it. If there is any discrepancy, report it to the respective authorities immediately.

Note: Don’t forget to carry your original ID proof along with your SSC CGL Hall ticket to the exam center.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Tier I: SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam consists of four levels. These level are Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. SSC CGL Tier I exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of following four sections. Each section consists of 25 question of 50 marks. A total of 60 minutes are allotted to solve these 100 questions.

  1. General Intelligence
  2. General Awareness
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. English Language

SSC CGL Tier II: The SSC CGL Tier II exam will consists of four papers in which Paper I (Quantitative Ability) and Paper II (English Language) is compulsory for those who will clear Tier I exam. Paper III (Statistics) is for the post of Statistical Investigator Grade II and Paper IV (General Studies Finance & Economics) is for the post of Assistant Audit Officer. Each Paper consists of 100 questions of 200 marks and you will be given 2 hours to attempt each paper.

SSC CGL Tier III: Tier III is descriptive in nature which consists of an Essay writing, Precis, Letter writing etc. A time duration of 60 minutes will be given and the weightage is 100 marks.

SSC CGL Tier IV: Tier IV includes Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification and is of qualifying nature.

As SSC CGL is one of the toughest exam, you should buckle up and leave no stone unturned. Here are some golden tips for you which will help you in your preparation tips for SSC CGL 2019 Exam.

  1. Make a Proper Study Schedule

Before you start your preparation make a study schedule and cover all the topics of the SSC CGL syllabus. Follow your study schedule rigorously. Complete the scheduled topic of the syllabus on the pre decided date as per your study schedule.
