NIACL Selection Procedure

Approximately the applicants, equal to 15 times the numbers of vacancies, will be shortlisted for the Main Examination by conducting a Preliminary test. Candidates who have been shortlisted after Main Written Exam will subsequently be called for an Interview. Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview.

  1. Preliminary examination (100 marks)
  2. Written examination (230 marks)
  3. Personality test (Interview)
NIACL Exam Pattern

Preliminary examination consisting of objective questions for 100 marks will be conducted online. This would consist of 3 sections. Main examination will consist of objective questions for 200 marks and Descriptive test for 30 marks. Both tests will be conducted online. Medium of examination will be in Hindi/English language.

NIACL Syllabus 2019

Descriptive test will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode. This will be conducted to assess the knowledge of English language. Candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. There will be penalty of one-fourth of the marks for wrong answers. Syllabus of written exams will be equivalent to the Degree standard of an Indian university.

NIACL Results

Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall only be considered for appointment. Selected candidates may be appointed in more than one batch as per requirement. A Waiting List of candidates not exceeding 50% of the number of vacancies may also be prepared.
