The selection process for the post of Assistant Class-III in New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL) consists of on-line test (Preliminary & Main Examination). Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will further be shortlisted for Regional Language test before the final selection.

  1. Preliminary Exam (Tier-I): This will have a total weight-age of 100 marks (with 100 objective type questions). Total duration will be 60 minutes.
  2. Main Exam (Tier-II): This will have a total weight-age of 200 marks (with 250 objective type questions). Total duration will be 120 minutes.
  3. Language Test: No separate marks will be awarded for Regional Language Test and the test will be only qualifying in nature.

The Final Merit List, state-wise and category-wise, shall be prepared in descending order of the marks secured by candidates in Online Main Examination subject to qualifying the Regional Language Test. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list shall be considered for appointment. However, the appointment of candidate will subject to the Medical Fitness. Medical fitness test will be conducted by a panel of specialist doctors assigned by New India Assurance Company Ltd. A contingency List of candidates not exceeding 50% of the number of vacancies may also be prepared and may be utilized in the event of non-acceptance of employment offer by the candidates selected in the final merit list.
