What’s New In MPSET 2018: By this year the MP Public Service Commission will conduct the Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test in 19 different subjects. Paper-II and Paper-III are submerged in single paper.

How to apply: SET exam online form can be submitted through e-registration system. Kindly use mppsc online form submission facility to apply. Candidates are also required to send print-out copy of application along with photocopies of all their documents to “Controller of Examination (SET), State Eligibility Test (SET Cell), Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Residency Area, Indore, Pin-452001”.
SET Exam Eligibility Norms

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATION AGE
Any candidate who has obtained the certificate(s) of previous exams, like- MPSET-2017; UGC-NET; CSIR-NET; MP SLET/SET should not apply for MPSET-2018 in same subject. Admit card to such candidates will not be issued. A candidate may apply to One subject only. A Postgraduate qualification (with 55% marks) in concern subject. Candidates in final year exam of PG may also apply. No upper age limit.

SET Exam Qualify Procedure

To get qualified in Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MPSET) 2018 candidates must have to clear the both two papers of examination. There is no provision of conducting the interview. SET Exam qualified candidates will be declared eligible for the posts of Assistant Professor in state government colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

MP SET Syllabus Exam Pattern

Earlier there was the provision of conducting Three papers. Now the syllabi UGC CSIR SET exam paper-II and paper-III is submerged in a single paper. Now there will be two papers in MPPSC UGC SET examination. Paper-I will be of General awareness, Teaching aptitude, and Research aptitude. Paper-II will be related to subject knowledge. Both papers have objective type questions. There will be no negative marking in any question paper. SET 2018 Exam Pattern is provided in detail in below table.

  1. PAPER-I: Questions relating to common experience including every day life, science and observations, current events, education scenario in India with special reference to Madhya Pradesh. Elementary knowledge of history and geography.
  2. PAPER-II: Matching, True/false, Assertion reasoning type, Subject knowledge questions. Questions to assess Mental Ability will also be included in this part.

MP SET Result

The result of SET Exam will be prepared and published as per newly adopted directions of UGC, New Delhi. Only the candidates appeared in both papers will be declared qualified. First the number of candidates will be calculated who have secured minimum prescribed marks in both papers. Category-wise prescribed marks are listed in below table. Only the 6% of such shortlisted candidates will be declared qualified. In second stage, the category-wise candidates will be declared Eligible as per reservation policy of MP Govt.
