Commission shortlists the candidates for Mains Exam on the basis of marks obtained in Preliminary examination. MPSC Group C Post Eligibility
Excise Sub-Inspector: Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised institution.
Tax Assistant: Graduation degree in any course. Should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Marathi or 40 words per minute in English.
Clerk-Typist: Graduate in any subjects. Should have a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Marathi or 40 words per minute in English.
Age Limit: Age limit for general candidates is 18 to 38 years. However, relaxation in upper age is admissible up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Written exam has objective type multiple choice questions. Preliminary exam is a open combined competitive examination. Main written examinations is conducted separately for the different posts.
