State Forest Service Examination
Selection Procedure
Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) annually conducts the State Forest Service Examination. This exam is conduct to engages on the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forest and Forest Ranger. Here is the detailed MPPSC State Forest Service Selection Procedure. Selection procedure consists of following stages.
1. State Forest Service Preliminary Examination
2. State Forest Service Main Examination
3. Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test
4. Interview
5. Medical Fitness Test
1. State Forest Service Preliminary Examination : This test is the first qualifying exam among the five successive stages of selection. This exam will have Two question papers. Both will have multiple choice based objective type questions. There will be no Negative marking in Preliminary Examination.
2. State Forest Service Main Examination : Main Exam will comprise of Four Question Papers. Every question paper shall have a total weightage of 200 marks. Question papers shall be based on General Studies, General Hindi, General English and Optional Subjects.
3. Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test : Male candidates have to cover a 25 kilometers walk within a duration of 04 Hours. Female candidates have to cover a 14 kilometers walk within a duration of 04 Hours (for the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forest) and 16 kilometers walk within a duration of 04 Hours (for the posts of Forest Ranger). Physical Measurement standards are as per followings:

4. Interview : Personal Interview will have a weightage of 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% marks (by unreserved candidates) and 30% marks by SC/ST/OBC candidates. Candidates, who will not face the interview, will be disqualified.
5. Medical Fitness Test : Candidates, who will be shortlisted after all stages stated above, will be examined by a Medical Panel for the the medical fitness. Height & Chest will be measured. Hearing and Vision fitness will be tested. This will be mandatory to qualify in Medical Fitness Test.
