STAGE-1 : Written Examination

Eligible candidates will be called to appear in the written examination. Written exam shall have a total of One Hundred (100) questions. Every question will be of One (01) mark. Thus, the total weight-age of written test will be One Hundred (100) marks. Questions will have the answers of multiple choice. All questions will be objective type in nature. There will be a provision of negative marking also. For each wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted. The difficulty of question paper will be equivalent to the requisite educational qualification standard i.e. PUC/12th class.

STAGE-2 : Physical Standard Test

Candidates who will qualify in the written test will be admitted to appear in the Physical Standard Test (PST) in the ratio of 1:5. General candidates must have to meet the following physical measurement standards to qualify the PST stage. Relaxations in physical measurement standards to the reserved categories shall be admissible as per the existing rules of Karnataka Govt.
» Height (for Male): 168 cms
» Chest (for Male): 86 cms, with at least 05 cms of expansion
» Height (for Female): 157 cms
» Weight (for Female): 45 kgs.

STAGE-1 : Physical Endurance Test

For Male Candidates
» 1600 meter run : to be competed within 7 minutes 30 seconds
» High Jump of above 1.20 meters (within three chances)
» Long Jump of above 3.80 meters (within three chances)
» Shot-put of minimum 5.60 meters (with a weight of 7.26 kg)

For Female Candidates
» 400 meter run : to be competed within 2 minutes
» High Jump of above 0.90 meters (within three chances)
» Long Jump of above 2.50 meters (within three chances)
» Shot-put of minimum 3.75 meters (with a weight of 3 kg)
