Recruitment process on the posts of Assistant Police in Jharkhand Police Force will consist of Physical Standards Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, written test, and Medical fitness test. Detailed selection process along with Exam Pattern available here.

  1. Physical Standards Test (PST)
  2. All candidates will have to face the Physical Standards Test. This test will be for the screening of physical measurement of height, chest and weight. Candidates should have following physical measurement standards.

  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  4. All candidates, having minimum required physical standard, will be required to undergo physical efficiency test. This will be qualifying in nature. It would be mandatory to qualify this test. Male Candidates have to run for 05 kms race, to be completed in 35 minutes. Female Candidates have to run for 2.5 kms race, to be completed in 20 minutes. No marks will be awarded for the PET.

  5. Medical Examination
  6. Only the candidates, who qualified the above stages of recruitment process, will be called to appear for Medical fitness test. Candidates should be in good mental and physical health conditions, as mentioned in official notification, to clear this stage.

  7. Written Examination
  8. Candidates found fit in Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Fitness Test shall be called for the written test. Questions will be set to observe and assess the knowledge of candidate on General Knowledge, Awareness, Reasoning and Current Affairs. Every section will be of 20-20 marks. Composite weight-age of written exam will be 100 marks. There will be objective type questions in paper having multiple choice of answers.

  9. Documentation
  10. Candidates found Ok in above stages will be called for the documentation. The verification of residence, caste and educaional certificates will be done at this stage.

  11. Merit List of Selection
  12. After completion of medical examination test, category-wise merit list will be drawn separately. In case, found two candidates with equal marks, the older one shall be selected/shortlisted. After then the finally selected candidates will be sent to training at various centres.
