About ITBP: Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) was raised on 24.10.1962 and presently the force is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border. ITBP is a specialized mountain Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers. Adventure and dare-devilry are the required professional skills for the ITBP and therefore from its ranks come the world class mountaineers.
