Insurance Accounting Specialist – Job Description
The Premium Accounting Tech person is to process all financial and accounting transactions regarding receipt of clients’ premiums. In addition, the selected person has to assist in the resolution of open client issues. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of the workflow of unit and s/he assist in all phases of unit’s assignments.
Job Responsibilities:
Following are the job responsibilities, but not limited to. Candidate should be able in understanding of all HPS’ cash posting and admin systems. Plus, accurately calculate manual adjustments for insurance premium refunds. Person should have knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices and procedures.
Qualification:
- Associate’s Degree in the relevant field is preferred.
- Highly proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Good knowledge of computer applications and accounts payable disbursement process.
Experience:
We welcome freshers. Though it is preferable having 3+ years work experience in Accounting, Insurance market or related field.
Schedule of Job:
Insurance Accounting Specialist job is a full-time 8 hour shift. Candidate has to work 5 days a week. In addition, 2 days emergency leave is admissible in a month. This position may be working on-site at company’s Tampa office, Florida, United States of America.
Supplemental Pay:
Advance payments are not payable. Though candidate may get Bonus pay based on the monthly performance.
Additional Insurance Job Requirements:
- Understanding of debits and credits funds.
- Administrative skills in order to develop new approaches to issues or problems.
- Ability to identify medium to high complex discrepancy calculation errors.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles.
