IB SA Selection Procedure

Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Written test, Spoken ability and Interview/Personality test. On the basis of performance in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II & Tier-III exam at 10 times the number of vacancies. IB SA Cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I exam will be 35 for UR, 34 for OBC and 33 for SC/ST candidates. Cut-off for Tier-II & Tier-III exams in different categories may go higher depending upon the marks obtained by candidates. Tier-II examination will be of qualifying nature. All appointments shall initially be made on a temporary basis. The post involves All India Transfer liability.

  1. Tier-I: Written MCQ examination (100 marks)
  2. Tier-II: Descriptive test + Spoken ability (40+10 marks)
  3. Tier-III: Interview/Personality test (50 marks)
IB SA Exam Pattern

Written exam (Tier-I) will be of Objective type MCQs, divided into 4 following parts. Duration of exam(s) and distribution of marks are shown in below table.

Syllabus of IB SA Examination will be based on NCERT syllabus of Matriculation standard. Questions will be included from General awareness, Test of English language, Logical/analytical ability (Reasoning) and Quantitative aptitude.

Candidates for appointment will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in Tier-I and Tier-III exam.
