BTSC J.E Selection Procedure

Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Diploma or any other equivalent qualification, as requisite. Preference will be given to the candidates having short term/contractual service experience in any department/corporation of Bihar Govt. A common merit list will be prepared for the selection of eligible of candidates. Merit list will be prepared by giving marks in following way, as shown in below table.

Marks to be given on the basis of score/percentage of Diploma course 75 marks
Marks to be given for gaining the service experience (5 marks for every single year) 25 marks
Total marks 100
BTSC Junior Engineer Exam Pattern

However the selection will be done on the basis of percentage obtained by candidates in requisite Diploma course. Candidates with higher score in the qualifying educational standard will be shortlisted for the selection. But, if Bihar Technical Service Commission conducts a recruitment examination, this will have objective type of questions. Syllabus of examination will be based on the domain study of the course.
