Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) recruits Assistant Commissioner (Combined Civil Services, Group I-B) in the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Administration Department. Selection will be made through following successive stages. Detailed pattern of examination is available below.
(i) Preliminary Examination
(ii) Main Written Examination
(iii) Oral Test (Interview)

Preliminary Examination

Preliminary exam will be a Single paper having 200 questions. Level of difficulty shall be equivalent to Degree Standard (Subject Code – 231). Maximum duration will be 03 hours. Maximum marks will be 300. Break-up of questions, topic-wise, is given below.
(i) General Studies – 125 questions
(ii) Hindu Religion and Temples – 20 questions
(iii) Ethics and Integrity – 15 questions
(iv) Mental Ability, Aptitude & Logical Reasoning – 40 questions (SSLC Standard)

Main Written Examination

Main Exam will have three papers. Level of difficulty shall be equivalent to Degree Standard. Maximum duration of each question paper will be 03 hours. Maximum marks of each question paper will be 300 with a total of 900 marks. Break-up of questions, topic-wise, is given below.
» Paper-I : General Studies (Subject Code – 232)
» Paper- II : Hindu Religion (Subject Code – 233)
» Paper-III : Law (Subject Code – 234)

Oral Test (Interview)

Interview & Record shall be a total of 120 marks. Only the candidates who will qualify in Main Written Examination shall be admitted to Interview.
