TNPSC Fisheries Inspector Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for Sub Inspector of Fisheries: Diploma in Fisheries Technology and Navigation (or) B.Sc Degree with Zoology as main subject (or) Degree of Bachelor in Fisheries Science. Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Educational Qualification for Inspector of Fisheries: Bachelor degree of Fisheries Science (or) M.Sc in Zoology or Marine Biology or Coastal Aquaculture or Mariculture or Special Zoology or Coastal Engineering or Oceanography. Candidates should have adequate knowledge of Tamil language.

TNPSC Fisheries Inspector Syllabus

Written exam consists of two papers. Both papers have objective type multiple choice questions. Duration of each paper is 3 hours. Paper-1 has only one part having subject questions related to Fisheries Science (Degree standard) and Zoology (PG Standard). On the other hand Paper-2 has two parts. Part-A is Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Std) having 100 questions for 150 marks. Part-B consists of 75 questions of General Studies (Degree standard) and 25 questions of Aptitude and mental ability test (SSLC standard).
