ITBP Selection Process Constable Tradesman Recruitment

Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is in the process to fill-up the posts of Constable Tradesman. Recruitment process shall be conducted in following phases.

1. PHASE-I: PST, PET & Trade Test
2. PHASE-II: Written Test
3. PHASE-III: Verification of Documents

At the beginning of recruitment process, candidates shortlisted after primary scrutiny, will have to face the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). The candidates who qualify the Physical Tests will be put through the respective Trade Test. The candidates who qualify the PET, PST & Trade test will be admitted to appear in Written Examination. Final Merit list for the selection will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the professional trade test and written test. PHASE-I

Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Trade Test will be conducted during the PHASE-I of ITBP recruitment process. No marks will be awarded for physical tests as these are only qualifying in nature. Trade Test shall be conducted for 50 marks.

(a) Height for Male candidates (ITI/Diploma posts): 167.5 cms
(b) Height for Female candidates (ITI/Diploma posts): 157 cms
(c) Height for Male candidates (non-ITI/Diploma posts): 170 cms
(d) Height for Female candidates (non-ITI/Diploma posts): 157 cms
(e) Chest for Male candidates (ST category): 76 cms (normal), 81 cms (expanded)
(f) Chest for Male candidates (Hilly region): 78 cms (normal), 83 cms (expanded)
(g) Chest for Male candidates (all others): 80 cms (normal), 85 cms (expanded)
(h) Weight – Corresponding to height and age as per medical standard

» Physical Efficiency Test
(a) 1.6 Kms Race (for Male candidates only), to be completed within 7.30 minutes
(b) 800 Mtr Race (for Female candidates only), to be completed within 4.45 minutes
(c) Long Jump (03 Chances): 11 Feet for Male candidates; 09 Feet for Female candidates
(d) High Jump (03 Chances): 3½ Feet for Male candidates; 03 Feet for Female candidates

» Trade Test
Candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only as applied in the application form. Trade test will carry 50 marks. Trade test will comprise the questions based on Knowledge about the respective trade.

PHASE-II

Candidates who qualify Phase-I (PET, PST & Trade test) will have to appear in written test. Admit Card to the candidates, who qualify Phase-I will be issued online. Written test will be conducted for 50 marks containing 50 questions of objective type multiple choice. Question paper will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Questions will be based on General Awareness/General knowledge; elementary Mathematics; Analytical aptitude and basic knowledge of English/Hindi.

PHASE-III

Testimonials of the candidates will be checked before Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Only the candidates shortlisted after the stages of recruitment, as stated above, will be called for Document Verification. At this stage Original documents will be returned on the spot after verification and self attested copies of certificates will be retained with the ITBP selection committee.

Final Merit list for the selection will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the professional trade test and written test.
