Bihar Police Selection Methodology 2020

Bihar Police Constable (Driver) Selection Procedure
- Written Examination:
A competitive written examination shall be conducted for 100 marks. There will be objective type questions with multiple choice of answers. 100 questions based on General awareness, General knowledge, Elementary mathematics, Analytical ability and aptitude. Maximum duration of test will be Two hours. Qualified candidates will be admitted to appear in next stage of recruitment process.
- Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test:
Physical measurement & efficiency test is qualifying in nature. Each and every candidate has to qualify the physical test(s) as stated below in table. No marks will be given for physical test.

- Driving Skill Test:
The driving skills of candidates will be tested in this stage. Candidates will be given Jeep/Car/Bus motor vehicle to test their driving skills. Candidates have to drive these vehicles in back gear in a given track. Marks will be allotted as per the timings and gear-shift. Minimum marks are 04 and maximum are 20. - Final Selection (Merit List):
A selection merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Driving test. Shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for detailed medical examination. Medically fit candidates will be selected.
Bihar Police ASI (Steno) Selection Procedure
- Preliminary Examination:
A competitive Preliminary written test shall be conducted for 100 marks. There will be total 100 objective type questions with multiple choice of answers. This test shall have a duration of Ninety minutes. There will be negative marking of 0.2 marks for wrong answers. Questions will be based on the topics related to General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Qualified candidates will be admitted to appear in Main written exam of recruitment.
- Main Written Examination:
Only the candidates shortlisted after preliminary written test shall be admitted to appear in Main Examination. Main written exam shall be conducted for 200 marks having total 200 objective type questions in Two papers. Paper-I (100 marks) shall have a duration of Ninety minutes having questions based General Hindi. Paper-II (100 marks) shall also have a duration of Ninety minutes having questions based General Knowledge, General Studies, Civil Studies, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mental Ability and Mathematics. Only the marks obtained in Paper-II shall be calculated to draw the Merit List. There will be negative marking of 0.2 marks for wrong answers. Qualified candidates will be admitted to appear in next stage of selection procedure.
- Skill Test:
Candidates declared qualified in Main Examination shall be called for Trade/Skill Test. Candidates have to appear for (A) Stenography Test, (B) Typing Test, and (C) Test of Computer Knowledge. The successful candidates shall be placed in Merit List on the basis of marks obtained in Main Written Exam.
- Final Selection (Merit List):
Candidates will be assessed to check the physical and medial fitness in this stage. Only the medical fitted candidates shall be shortlisted for final selection.
